HOW DID YOU GET IN TO WHAT YOU DO?

Its safe to say my passion for creating beautiful hair styles started with the Barbie Hair Salon. Growing up I LOVED going to the salon. During that time that I grew a very deep interest in hair care knowledge and styles.Always brush wet hair with a wide tooth comb(one of the first lessons I learned).Once I got into high school all of my peers were making 4 year plans for after graduating high school. This was slightly intimidating given the fact I was at a point in my life where I was unsure of a lot. The Aveda Institute Charlotte was a short distance from where I lived and the program was only a year long. The best career decision I have ever made. No turning back!

Last but definitely not least, I cannot forget all my clients and co-workers I have met along the way, who educated and inspire me in so many different ways. Thanks!

When I was as little as I can remember, my mother used to do all kind of braids with my long hair. She been gone since 2001 from cancer, she was a very hard working mom, I learned a lot from her. Then , I went to college, I moved around few times with my husband, at that time I thought maybe I could go to hair school to learn do hair because it sounded so much fun , then I fell in love with it. It is not only about hair, it is also about making people feel good about themselves.
